Sierra Nevada Figure Skating Club is a sanctioned member club of US Figure Skating. Club membership and includes membership to US Figure Skating. This enables skaters to test and compete under US Figure Skating’s governing structure. For reference, when figure skating is televised and athletes from the United States are competing, those are US Figure Skating sanctioned events. In order to participate, skaters must be members of US Figure Skating.

Sierra Nevada Figure Skating club is northern Nevada’s only figure skating club, and is the best option for skaters in this area to pursue their skating goals. We offer regular testing opportunities, both live and virtual, as well as an annual competition.

Sierra Nevada Figure Skating Club has been in existence in Reno for over 40 years. It fell dormant for years when Reno did not have an ice rink. When Reno Ice was built, the club was resurrected and is now the home of many developing skaters! Sierra Nevada Figure Skating club is growing and is proud to be a part of the grass roots effort that Reno Ice has started. Only 3 years into existence, Reno Ice sent 3 skaters to Excel Nationals, representing Sierra Nevada Figure Skating Club!
